My pack consists of me (Stinne Elgaard) and 3 Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

My first encounter with a Rhodesian Ridgeback was back in 2003, when I attended a socializing event with Oliver. It was a lovely bitch – who knew how to express herself! I started to look a little closer to this breed, and was quickly in love… Later I got to know Caziba – who still is a big part of our lives today.

I waited quite long for my first RR, and finally in 2005 I got my Zuki from CZ. I knew that this was the breed for me – and soon I had to have another RR! I got Ami in 2006 – also from CZ. The pack was expanded in 2009 with Zippo and Diwa from my a-litter.

My background for breeding and working with dogs is quite extensive. Although my experience in breeding comes down to just a few litters, I have quite a lot of practical and theoretical knowledge about the dog’s development.

I am an educated as behavioral specialist by Turid Rugaas, but besides this I have education from other specialists: Anders Hallgren, Runar Næss, Bente Iversen, Roger Abrantes, Lars Fält, Morten Egtved and many more. I have also been working as puppy tester – among others for RR breeders for some years, and this gave me a lot of knowledge about the Rhodesian Ridgeback. In 2009 I started my education as an exterior judge for the Rhodesian Ridgeback, and through this education I gained extensive knowledge about anatomy.

I have The Danish Kennel Club’s breeders education, and I often take part in courses and education about genetics and breeding. I have also been boardmember and treasurer of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club from 2009-2014, where I furthermore was head of the Show Committee and the Breeding- and Health Committee.

The most important for me in my breeding, is physically and mentally healthy dogs – but I also aim to breed typical Ridgebacks! But health and mentality is my highest priority.
