Our first encounter with a Ridgeback was back in 2003, when we attended a socializing event with Oliver. It was a lovely bitch – who knew how to express herself! We started to look a little closer to this breed, and was quickly in love… Later we got to know Caziba – who still is a big part of our lives today.
We waited quite long for our first RR, and finally in 2005 we got our Zuki from CZ. We knew that this was the breed for us – and soon we agreed to have another RR! We got Ami in 2006 – also from CZ. The pack was expanded in 2009 with Zippo and Diwa from our a-litter.
Stinne’s background for breeding and working with dogs is quite extensive. Although our experience in breeding comes down to just a couple of litters, Stinne has quite a lot of practical and theoretical knowledge about the dogs development.
Stinne is mainly educated as behavioral specialist by Turid Rugaas, but besides this she has education from other specialists: Anders Hallgren, Runar Næss, Bente Iversen, Roger Abrantes, Lars Fält, Morten Egtved and many more. Stinne has also been working as puppy tester – among others for Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders for some years, and this gave her a lot of knowledge about the Ridgebacken. In 2009 Stinne started her education as an exterior judge for the Rhodesian Ridgeback, and through this education she gets extensive knowledge about anatomy.
We have The Danish Kennel Club’s breeders education, and we often take part in courses and education about genetics and breeding. Stinne has been boardmember and treasurer of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club from 2009-2014, where she also have been a member of the Show Committee and the Breeding- and Health Committee.
The most important for us in our breeding, is physically and mentally healthy dogs – but we also aim to breed typical Ridgebacks! But health and mentality is our highest priority.
